The Pursuit of Happyness

The Pursuit of Happyness ★★★★

Because when I was young and I'd get an A on a history test or whatever.. I'd get this good feeling about all the things that I could be. And then I never became any of them.

Damn that slapped me so hard even my ancestors felt it.

The Pursuit of Happyness is a biological drama about a now-millionaire investor when he was still a struggling salesman. Emotionally moving, heartfelt and satisfying to the last drop, this is Will Smith's most authentic showing to date. He gave life and humanity to the character of Will Gardner. Smith acted with just enough soul and believability in scenes where he needs to show vulnerability, and it turned out great. The message of triumph, happiness and finding will and purpose on your darkest days is paced well as to not sound nor feel corny and overdone. The Pursuit of Happyness also opened my eyes on the issue of homelessness that even first-world countries struggle with. I really hoped Will gave at least, idk, $5000 dollars from his surely ginormous payout to the groups or projects battling homelessness. Just a thought.
