Isaac Feldberg’s review published on Letterboxd:
“You’ve gone strange on me.”
We’re all butterflies mounted on corkboards, and maybe someone felt remorse as they drove the pins in, but that didn’t last long. Possessor is a clever, cruel, and breathtakingly cold sci-fi thriller, probably a masterpiece and definitely a movie of this horrifying moment. Recalibrated perceptions, assumed identities, corporate amorality, insect politics, and the kind of violent dehumanization engendered by the dehumanizing violence. The longer Tasya spends inside Colin, the less separates them from one another, the more they overlap. But if free will can only ever be an illusion in the shadow of corporate control, who is anyone these days, anyway?
