Such a simple, but heartwarming movie. All the scenes were well-crafted especially the loving and tender family scenes (which is the main drive of this movie). Superb acting from each cast member. My only critique would be making the last scene longer so it would flow better from the fire scene.
Minari also makes me reflect on a couple things as a second-generation citizen and an Asian grandchild. My gratitude towards my grandparents and parents for their hard-work, giving me…
Not entirely book accurate especially the plot, but it was still good! The accurate characterization of the characters was much appreciated. Lots of people thought it was bland. I'm assuming it's because of the linear and simplified plot (opposed to the book's more richer plot). The best part of the movie was probably the noise which was visually gorgeous. Unlike the majority, I had a lot of fun. Could be because I'm a fan of the books. Hopefully, we get a sequel and get to learn and further develop Viola's character and build-up Todd and Viola's relationship more.
