If you're curious to see what a "Best Original Screenplay" film is like, then I really recommend watching this movie.
Thelma & Louise show what some men were afraid of back then and sadly, what some men are afraid of now, and that's the fear of women doing their own thing. And believe me, Thelma and Louise both do their own thing all the way till the end. Plus that ending... that ending is honestly one of the best endings I've ever seen in a film. So much grace, so much empowerment.
Can you imagine if this movie came out now? Dudes on social media can't even handle a female superhero so having these two wonderful female outlaws on the big screen, they will lose their heads.
Again, if you haven't seen this film, I HIGHLY recommend doing so.
This film is great and powerful along with two great and powerful leads. Definitely a perfect way to start off Women's History Month.
