Without getting too personal, I related with Barry in so many ways I didn’t even know a film could capture...

I’ve gotta admit, the direction PTA took with Punch-Drunk Love was something I had to warm up to at first. Sandler’s eccentric performance, the long static takes, the unusual score, or those bizarre animated interludes.

But after a bit, I realised how truly different this film was, how it was something I haven’t quite seen before. And I just love that,…

My boy Leo really checked a man’s pulse to see if he was still alive after he fell 6 stories and his skull cracked open.

So you give that Russian dude more screentime than our queen Ana de Armas? Okay, I see how it is 😐

    Frances Ha

    ★★★★½

Frances Ha beautifully portrays the kinetic but chaotic stage of life one goes through during young adulthood, something I’m both utterly terrified and no doubt excited for.

I was gonna give this 4 stars, but Baumbach (and Gerwig) absolutely infects this thing with this sort of warmth that I can’t stop thinking and feeling good about.

Apart from the ending, A Quiet Place Part II didn’t really disappoint. There’s a lot of amazing things in this film, but I just really wanted to highlight the performances for a sec. Everyone, and I mean everyone, brought their A-Game. No joke, even the frickin baby’s a better actor than I’ll ever be, lmfao.

Bravo Jim... this might actually be better than the original!

I know Chris Stuckmann mentioned this in his review, but I cannot wait to watch this and the first back-to-back, what a terrific double feature it will be! :D

Can’t think of a better way to start 2021 than watching this masterpiece. My mind changes faster than the speed of light, but as of right now, this is my favourite film. I think I might love this more than life itself. Just kidding hehe, but it’s pretty damn close.

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all the best and all the happiness this year :)
    Stay safe, love ya’ll :)
