Jacob Knight’s review published on Letterboxd:
Easily one of the weakest of Cronenberg's earlier genre efforts, it barely fits into his filmography, despite the attention to psychic curses becoming gifts and a general Canuxploitation chilliness. Sheen is just chowing down on scenery as Walken is oddly muted, awesome "ICE IS GONNA BREAK!" moment aside. King's themes regarding fate and the ability to mold it ourselves remain, along with his penchant for commonplace melodrama. Definitely a movie I wish I liked more than I do.
