Keeping aside the politics and all those distorted facts, the movie was engaging and thrilling. Even the 160 minute long running time was not justified by the writing. The development of some characters was rushed due to the trimming and some of the crucial points of the character arc were missing, which made the story unconvincing at certain points. The cinematography and the locations made it a thrilling watch. But it failed to create an emotional attachment that normally survival movies do. Even with good performances from the actors, especially Daniel. The screenplay and writing were below par when compared to the technical side. Maybe it is because the true events on which the story is based also contain nonsensical decisions. Anyway, the performances and the visuals are a treat to watch.
