Would make for a killer double feature with Double Barrel.
I don't get it. Did people think Lokesh Kanagaraj was the second coming of Jesus or something? Why are people so disappointed by this? I mean the dude did say this was going to be a 50-50 trade off between him and Vijay, and I believe he stuck by his word. So, if you aren't a Vijay'na fanboy already, this isn't going to convert you.
Just like Petta before it, Master is an incredibly fun mass entertainer that actually FEELS…
Events transpire in the film at a jarring pace, and even with the three hour runtime, the film feels incredibly rushed, but man you know what, I enjoyed every minute of this.
The sweeping vistas, stellar production design, solid (and surprisingly gory) set pieces, kickass mass moments and great performances come together with Priyadarshan's deft touch.
This definitely isn't the Bahubali-type naval epic that it was marketed to be though, but is instead an intimate war drama that didn't bore me for even a minute.
Judging by early reactions, it definitely feels like I'm in the minority for this one.
