With every passing film I watch by Lucio Fulci the more I realize how great of a horror director he is. The gore, kills, soundtrack, and horror elements are so fucking good.
One of my favorite aspects about Fulci’s films is the cinematography showcasing gory/horror material. The kills are framed as utterly grotesque, and the more atmospheric horror shots are filled with dread. Especially in this film, the mantra of eerie eye shots.

StageFright is the definition of a hidden gem. There’s definitely some ADR issues and some acting that’s rather choppy, but besides that, this movie rocks!
First off, the concept is just awesome, and the main reason why I decided to watch this. The runtime is also very concise and suspenseful, there wasn’t a moment where I wasn’t invested. Plus, I loved the main character/final girl.

While I was super excited for Aquaman, I definitely thought this film could’ve flopped. Thank god it didn’t. Aquaman was one damn good time. While I was having fun watching the film, I couldn’t help but notice that everyone involved was having fun as well. That is why I think Aquaman succeeds.
