    ★★★★ - GREAT

Quite a devestating film, with an ending that left me feeling empty and cold (in the best way). Two and a half phenomenal performances: the two being Jodie Comer and Adam Driver, and the half being Matt Damon because of his occasionally shaky accent, but nothing too distracting. The way the film is structured is brilliant and kept me invested, although it's a tad too long on the runtime. It looks beautiful and is directed with a lot of brilliance from Ridley Scott. Overall, a great film.

Every time I watch this, it always feels fresh and new. Its unlike anything else I've really seen, and a genuine masterpiece of body horror. But not just body horror, this film at its core is a tragedy, just a really clever one. Jeff Goldblum is fantastic as the scientist Brundle. The makeup/special effects are some of the best ever put to screen, still hold up and look just as horrific today. This and Videodrome are Cronenberg at the top of his gruesome talents.

    ★★★½ - VERY GOOD

Remains its most unsettling in the first 45 minutes, when you can't see the doll moving around. As soon as that thing starts walking and talking, it loses all of its creepiness and even some of its credibility to become a little cheesy. Not to say that it's still not a lot of fun, and never takes itself too seriously. Performances are all great, even the young child actor playing Andy. The effects are all fantastic…

    ★★★★½ - EXCELLENT

I think what always impresses me more about Hitchcock than his more iconic scenes, is the smaller conversations he has in his films. There's not many directors who can bleed every ounce of tension and suspense from a scene which only depicts two people taking. For me, that is where Psycho shines: the smaller conversations, the little lines of character building. It has slow moments, but there's a lot to appreciate about this classic.

This was something I was really looking forward to, and honestly it had a lot to like. The voice acting was stellar, the animation was gorgeous and expressive. The music was pretty fantastic. But, as a film, it's very messy. It's clear a lot of heart and effort went into this, but there are undeniable issues. The plot is thin, almost stretched too far. It has some very odd pacing; some scenes drag for way too long,…

A masterpiece. One of Miyazaki's best. One of the best animated films of all time. He takes everything so brilliant about Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and somehow improves it. It's so powerful, so mesmerising and enchanting in every single frame of its flawless animation. The music gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. The sense of adventure and the journey that Miyazaki takes you through, in this magnificent world which breathes such…
