I can quite understand why some people found the looping music too much but for some reason it totally worked for me. I sort of admire the audacity of someone to make that decision when creating the film.
This one is all about the aesthetic really. Lots of long shots and staring into the distance expressions which is my sort of thing. Certain elements like the aforementioned soundtrack and the fact Jean Baxter is only ever mentioned by his full name made this feel slightly comedic to me, which I'm not sure was intentional, but certainly added to my enjoyment.
