All-time favourite
This is a revised review for my favourite film as i feel i have much more to say after watching it pretty much constantly.
For me, the film feels like an existential crisis perceived through the mind of Sean Penn's character. I've heard people say the creation sequence is too 'over the top' but for me this part represents what this man is thinking.
Have u never had a thought which gradually blows out of proportion involving questionning…
It's crazy how rare it is to come across a film that relies simply on continuous dialogue throughout the film to keep you engaged and that is what this film does so well + I know it sounds cliché but the whole thing felt so authentic and real in the way the conversation shifted and gradually unravelled.
Highly recommend, one of the best romance/couple centric film I have seen👍
