When your soundtrack allows for a half-baked Sleigh Bells rip-off performed by Grimes (and for the record I LOVE Grimes) you know it's a dud
Gahhh - where to begin..... It's dull, convoluted, shows AND tells constantly, has unnecessary back story (the club scene with joker and Harley being a prime example - pointless), is poorly structured (as David Ayer seems to have no faith in these characters, he adds a battalion load of soldiers to support task force x - WHHHYYY???? remove the extra soldiers - at least allow the Suicide Squad to stand on their own!), completely charm and wit less, and how the characters are presented here is so unengaging you don't give a monkeys who lives or dies.
The score wound me up as well - seems to use the first few bars of John Barry's score to OHMSS for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gets 1/2 extra star for Viola Davis and her terrific performance (a true bad-ass), she acts everyone else off the screen
Enjoyed the creation of Harley Quinn scene too
