Jason the Feature Creature’s review published on Letterboxd:
This schmaltzy tale of a stubborn old man, Paul Newman, finding out how much family, friends and life means to him is a good time. It plays like a decent lifetime movie, and the fact that it takes place over the holiday season (from Thanksgiving to New Years) is an added bonus, which is what got me interested in the first place. The gratuitous nudity was a bit of a surprise, but hey, it’s Christmas after all.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was another unexpected present, he plays a stupid, belligerent police officer. Each of his roles, no matter how small, improves whatever movie they may be in. He was the best. I love and miss him. ❤️
