Even better the second time; this movie rules. I’ve said before that Zack Snyder’s DAWN OF THE DEAD is the ALIENS of zombie movies, but I was wrong because THIS is the ALIENS of zombie movies.
Also, the whole movie struck me as even more Romero-influenced than it did the first time. These are definitely not Romero zombies, but everything else, the satire, the cynicism, the morbid humor, the scope, the nuclear bomb, the heroism, the greed, the distrust of authority, the cool firepower… Such a cool, cool movie.
