If Groundhog Day had sex with Independence Day in a Ménage à trois with Emily Blunt, nine months later you will have Edge of Tomorrow.

I didn't know anything about the plot of the film except CGI, Cruise and Emily Blunt; just knowing that paid off! I was gladly surprise with what I watched, not only Edge of Tomorrow is entertaining but the story is interesting as well, I am a sucker for time travel films, so I might be bias with my comments about the film.

Doug Liman manage to keep the story well paced with action scenes that did not run long, making a balance blockbuster. Tom cruise is Tom Cruise, every time I see him is Cruise taking over certain character, I don't mind actually I enjoy that aspect of his persona on screen, Emily Blunt was a delight, she turned out to be a great action actress, hopefully she will keep on doing films like this.

Edge of Tomorrow is a great blockbuster summer film, is entertaining and I think it might be very re-watchable, we will know soon enough.
