Julius Banzon’s review published on Letterboxd:
This could've been better with all the same elements in tact, if it had the idea to carry over any of the original's logical sequencing of sleep, caffeinated benders of lucid course correction, paranoid finger-pointing, etc. Sleepaway Camp feels plotted like Chinatown compared to this film. Not trying to rain on the fun this film does have to offer, just pointing out how it could have been better. Everyone acquits themselves fine, except for Sholder, who didn't seem to map anything out dramatically, except its The Fly-ish trajectory.
