if magnum force was something of a critique, the enforcer, doubles-down on the most reactionary impulses of this franchise. it’s a movie where eastwood faces off against hippie terrorists (with no politics to speak of) and has to deal with pc culture in the form of a lady cop. there’s also the usual helping of racist stereotypes. a low point in the series, thus far.
I don’t think I have anything original to say about HAMILTON as musical theater. It’s a real achievement! Fun, exciting, innovative and, at points, genuinely moving.
