"I'm just getting started, darling."
I'm one of the people that is tired of these live action Disney remakes, or whatever this one is. I like Emma Stone and she was solid here, but I thought the story they gave to the character was just kind of dumb. They kind of try to got the same route as Joker by giving the character a sympathetic backstory. The problem is, they don't really fully commit to making Cruella a villain, which makes the movie seem pointless. Emma Thompson is the real villain of the story and she did a pretty good job. She's basically playing Meryl Streep's character from The Devil Wears Prada though. The best thing about the movie is the music. They used some great songs, a few of which were from some of my absolute favorite bands. I'm not saying the songs were used in a hugely memorable way, but I still enjoyed hearing them.
