Two hours of behind-the-scenes footage of Joaquin Phoenix work-shopping some new character.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Was the reveal of Elsa's transformation supposed to feel triumphant? It worked for Gandalf the White because Gandalf the Grey was never human--wizards are some weird cosmic beings.
Now Elsa is stuck out in the forest with a high stakes, high stress job of being an elemental spirit. Frozen 3 should play out like 'It Follows,' where she has to pass on her new responsibilities so some other schmuck can be the fifth elemental spirit.
Nothing that's happening on screen is as crazy or frenetic as the directors want you to think it is. They're REALLY trying with the editing, the camera work, and the music. Listening to the score alone (by Oneohtrix Point Never) might make you panicky, but its use with this film is more distracting and manipulative than complementary.
