Talman's face is incredible here

Apocalypse Now presented by Tim & Eric & Cocaine

i watched this on a fuckton of mushrooms one morning when i was a first semester freshman in college. don't know why. bad decision. i spent the whole movie thinking about 'systems,' which i don't think is the right takeaway. regardless, i remember it being pretty good.

There are parts of this that drag in a kind of egregious way, but otherwise it's nice. The never-ending antisocial v.o. made me think of I Stand Alone, but this is a much better movie than that. The cinematography was sick throughout, can't even figure out what their set up was like for some of the crane shots (which cover a lot more of the run time than you'd expect. Like, full on scene coverage with weird swooping overhead shots). The acting was also great.
