Jesse’s review published on Letterboxd:
Monumental. I drove 4 hours and 30 minutes out of my way to see this print, and believe me when I say all the travel it took to see it was well worth it. 2001: A Space Odyssey has never looked or sounded better. Of course the texture of the film itself felt different. The colors were really crisp, the images themselves were incredibly sharp, and there were so many little visual details I’d never noticed watching this before. With all that came some new understanding to the films many meanings, and plenty of great discussion with my friends afterwards. Many have said watching this print is basically like seeing 2001 again for the first time, and that’s not a bad way of putting it. The experience felt entirely new somehow. It felt like an awakening. I think it’s safe to say that I have now witnessed cinema in its purest form. 2001: A Space Odyssey is really the behemoth of movie world, so to see it projected in the largest format possible was just awe inspiring. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
