I mean I probably would have enjoyed this movie a lot if I were a high school kid looking for something to see with friends on a random Friday night. Definitely some good character building and zombie-killing choreography. But this movie certainly could have benefitted from taking itself less serious and shaving off 30-45 minutes. Seems the whole "alpha zombie" plot was pretty pointless or just used as a vehicle to give the movie over an hour to breathe without the zombies, which wasn't needed in this movie.

The worst part of this movie definitely was the emphasis placed on this genius German hacker kid who showed up, drew some math gibberish on the door, and put his ear to the safe door to crack it open. Man didn't have a single tool? Not even something to help him hear better? The greatest vault in the world can be opened if you just listen well enough? I've seen enough lock picking lawyer videos to know the most secure vault in the world would not have this glaring design flaw which has been well-known to security professionals for decades. And also why would the door have a feature where if you fail to open the door enough times it seals shut forever? In what situation would the owner want this to happen?

On second thought, Tig Notaro's character was equally as annoying. Dave Bautista and Ella Purnell undoubtedly carried this movie.
