Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage

Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage ★★★

too broad to be a contained feature - erratically jumping from topics like the Clinton scandal to Napster, TRL, festival economics etc - and would likely make for a better experience as a limited series but the big takeaway here is the overwhelming amount of sexual assault and misogyny on display and an ethical discussion about including a *lot* of images of naked women (some who almost definitely had their clothing removed against their will) and also verifying the ages of the women in question as it’s routinely brought up that many are as young as fifteen; a pretty heinous display of humanity and fuck that guy who says the women are “partially to blame” for taking their tops off
