Jean-Luc Botbyl’s review published on Letterboxd:
Showed this to my sister tonight, who didn't realize it was a horror movie ("I thought it was more chill, like Lady Bird" which I showed her last night). I felt really bad because she doesn't typically do horror movies, even though she picked it out, but she turned out to really love it!
Anyway, I definitely understand better why some people are really turned off by both this and Hereditary now. BUT I honestly loved it more than ever, basically cements everything I thought about this movie after my first two viewings. The last thirty minutes are really emotionally crushing for me, the pain both Dani & Christian are feeling hits me like a load of bricks, their desperation to just end the pain they're feeling is super palpable. Love love love this movie
