Wow. So what do we have here? Is this a movie about consumerism? About trauma in women? About technology? About how violent we would be if we weren’t held accountable?
Deep deep movie. Lots to unpack. If there was just a tad bit edited out, this may have made a bigger splash. However, it is very deserving of cult status.
Very curious to see where Cronenberg Jr. Goes with his career. If only James Woods would have had a character in this film.
Think Inception + Existenz and you have an idea of the story and plot. Add in some Cronenberg DNA and you have this psychotic look at human nature.
Extremely graphically violent.
Worth the watch.
