Blu Ray (4K)
Love the production design and score, and Jack Nicholson's performance as The Joker is truly iconic. Tonally, I think Burton does a good job of mixing the camp and the serious. But Michael Keaton seems stiff, awkward and miscast in the titular role, unconvincing as both a playboy and a crime fighter. Compared to his charasmatic and memorable turn in Beetlejuice just a year earlier, it is amazing to think that this is the same actor. And the less said about his tepid, zero-chemistry romance with Kim Basinger, the better.
