Note to self.
TAKE. ME. OUT.
Fritz, you definitely have been one of the best social media friends a guy could ask for. It’s been so great getting to know you these years and sharing our love of film together along with many other amazing individuals. You have some of the best write ups for films I have ever read and it’s so interesting to know how you view a film. When I heard you were doing this short film called Take Me Out, I was definitely excited to see what you had in store.
And I must say you did a fantastic job. In just under 30 minutes you gave such a great look into depression, loneliness, social isolation, human connection, and friendship. Your direction, writing, and editing was really great. And I was surprised you did all that yourself.
The crew you worked with did a very great job in their areas as well and the cast you had was great. With Brian Collins giving an amazing performance as Bruce.
I definitely saw a lot influences from some of your favorite films and directors, which was a great nod to what may have inspired you to make this short film.
Overall, really great work Fritz and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do in the future as a filmmaker. You can trust me to come and watch whatever you have next.
