Another Classic from Edgar Wright. Loses steam in the third act but it’s still a entertaining fun movie.

I was highly invested in this murder mystery. It goes in a direction I was not expecting with a shocking ending.

  • Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One

    ★★★★

I was little apprehensive seeing this movie because the last time I watched a DC animated movie (HUSH) I was disappointed. I chose to give it a shot because The Long Halloween was the first comic I ever bought. I’m glad I gave it a chance because it was a really enjoyable experience.

The animation was great with superb voice acting. The standouts were Jensen Ackles, Naya Rivera (RIP) and Troy Baker as Joker.

Lets hope Part 2 is just as good or even better than this film.

  • Supernova

    Supernova

    ★★★½

Heartwarming story about a couple trying to deal with dementia and how to cope with it getting worse in the future.

Would reccomend this movie for the tremendous acting and chemistry between Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci. Although a very sad movie their are plenty of laugh out loud moments as well.

I would have given it a better score but I just felt there was something missing with the ending.

    I laughed everytime. ☺️

Doesn’t match the highs of the first movie but still worth watching becauseof the action.

I did feel Emily Blunts character was teased as becoming the leader of the family. I thought she would become a total badasslike a Sarah Connor/Ripley role. Unfortunatly all she does in this film is hold the baby, carry around oxygen while wearing no shoes. Disappointing because I felt she could have done more.

I do wonder why Lee (John Krasinski) was killed off If…

  • Godzilla vs. Kong

    Godzilla vs. Kong

    ★★½

If you liked the three previous films you’ll like this.

The fights between Godzilla and Kong are great but you have to get through the boring human interactions to get to them.

  • Happy Together

    Happy Together

    ★★★★★

Watching the Wong Kar Wai Criterion Collection because I love Chungkin Express. First time seeing Happy Together and I was blown away. Definitely up there as one of the best LGBT films ever. Tony Leung stands out in this film. It was easy to connect with his characters (Lai) pain and suffering. Tony is so convincing as a gay man I’m going to struggle seeing him play straight roles now.

  • The Dead Pool

    The Dead Pool

    ★★★

Some laugh out loud moments make this a superior movie compared to the previous sequels The Enforcer and Sudden Impact.

    So bad it’s good.

  • Promising Young Woman

    Promising Young Woman

    ★★★

I like the concept but wanted more.

A rape revenge movie that didn’t go far enough for me. I wanted her to punish those people who wanted to take advantage of her. It all felt quite timid. It made me wonder why she was even bothered going after them if all she was going to do is moan at them. Would have preferred more violence done to them.

It’s a Hit and Miss comedy but for me this had more hits than misses.

Easily the worst Dirty Harry film I’ve seen so far. The first hour is fine, but when the third act gets going the movies plot becomes a farce. Harry sleeping with the murderer and allowing her to get away with her crimes felt very out of character.
