Asking a lot of my suspended disbelief, entertaining stuff, newspaper song kinda slapped, I hope I can watch Monsieur Hulot's Holiday soon.
I guess I'm just not that into Alfonso Cuarón movies. They're extremely hyped each time as some life-changing, never-before-seen cinematic experience. While they're decidedly not (*imho -- I hurry to say that I'm just thinking of my personal impressions of the, for me, largely underwhelming Children of Men and Gravity here). My take is that Cuarón somehow makes small movies on a grand scale. And I hurry to start off by also saying this one isn't half bad, at all.…
