Added to: JAMES BOND RANKED
It is incredible how easy it is to see the variation in quality when looking at the three James Bond films directed by Terence Young (Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Thunderball) to the one directed by Guy Hamilton (Goldfinger). For the first time in Goldfinger the series potential was realized and it didn't feel like a simple forgetable series, but with the release of Thunderball James Bond jumped straight back down to where he came from.
Terence Young's James Bond films lacks both vision and focus. And while Thunderball might not be the most ridiculous Bond film, it is one of the most tedious.
I hope the rest of thw series has more Goldfingers than Thunderballs.
