    "It's a strange world, isn't it?"

A few months ago i finally got around to watch Blue Velvet as my first Feature length David Lynch film.
As soon as the credits rolled I knew I was in love with David Lynch's style.
I watched Mulholland Drive soon after and was completely blown away. It didnt take long till I ordered my David Lynch Collection and eventually Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray.
Even though I still need to finish Twin Peaks (including…

It doesn't take much to create an almost perfect film. You don't always need 3 hours of complicated plot, incredible stunts, remarkable VFX, Tarantino like dialogue and 30 award winning star performances.
This film proves that all you need is a simple but effective plot, great shots combined with matching music to create an perfect atmosphere and interesting characters you can connect with.

"You will not survive here, you are not a wolf. This is the land of wolves"

Paired with Roger Deakins's stunning cinematography Villeneuve created not just some generic drug/crime thriller.
Supported by terrific performances and a gripping score by JΓ³hann JΓ³hannsson Sicario is much more than that.
I watched this with my dad and after it finished I had to apologize because I didn't quite remember it to be so unmerciful and hard-hitting (especially for my dad who usually doesn't…
