I am just trying to watch more films ;)
give me a recommendation
For me, this film by Sean Baker allows us to observe the reality of a marginalized group that lives in the seedbed of the Orlando Amusement Park. Baker films in a direct, almost documentary style. A chronicle of the lack in which he uses a beautiful color palette.
With remarkable performances like Willem Dafoe with a character full of humanism.
For me it is a charming and important film that talks about important things even if the final outcome is not completely convincing. A brilliant film of independent cinema.
For me this film is a reference of the horror cinema. With evil inside but above all around. Polanski managed to get very close to absolute fear because he understood that true panic and anguish are born and reside within us. It is worth noting the interpretations of Mia Farrow and Ruth Gordon. In conclusion we can say that real terror is made more powerful by suggesting than by showing. An excellent version of the satanic novel by Ira Levin.
For me, above all, this film is a love letter to the cinema of the 1960s. In which we must highlight how the charisma of Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio is enhanced. We may or may not like the change of direction that makes an event that happened on Cielo Drive, but the truth is that this film lets us see the more tender side of this director. Perhaps not the most colorful of Tarantino but I still like it.
This film shows us through the eyes of a child a new point of view on the madness of Nazism. For me it's a moral fable suitable for all audiences in which there is a great selection of luxury supporting actors among which we can highlight Sam Rockwell, a spectacular Scarlett Johansson and the same director of the film Taika Waititi. It may not be perfect but it's worth seeing.
