The Death & Life of John F. Donovan ★★½

Like with other Dolan films, "The Death & Life of John F. Donovan" features mommy issues and a few parallels with his own life. The film as a whole is not particularly likeable; it's very solipsistic, but I'm in love with the camerawork, the music, and the colors used here. (Also, when I saw Jared Keeso, I immediately assumed he would talk like Wayne from Letterkenny; same with Emily Hampshire, whose Stevie Budd from Schitt's Creek slightly popped up during that dinner scene.) This movie has a beautiful cast and a few strong performances, but unfortunately, they're not enough to salvage Dolan's latest feature.

PS: More Kit Harington singing please.
