I don’t hate Nolan with a passion like my other contemporaries. In actuality, I think he has a nice, comfy place in the history of cinema. His films are fun blockbusters filled with spectacle (and Tenet is no different). However, one could say that Nolan himself thinks he is making blockbusters with substantial value… or at least that he is aiming to make blockbusters with substantial value. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this in theory, in execution though?…
