Justin Decloux’s review published on Letterboxd:
If I had to make a bet, I'd say that Brandon Cronenberg has tons of wild ideas that aren't specifically of the BODY HORROR® variety, but the Money Men listen to his pitches, crack a smile and go "Hey, can you give us something like your, uh, dad would do? People are familiar with that."
Such is the case with POSESSOR, which on the surface is Cronenberg Père par excellence, but Brandon brings a distinct perspective on the material that's brimming with fascinating concepts delivered in an engaging and hypnotic fashion. POSESSOR has a million stories perched on its edges and is disturbing in the best kind of ways that never feels like it's trying to elevate itself above the material - a rarity with filmmakers working in what could be described as *cough*elevatedhorror*cough*.
Bring on more Brandon!
