"The Handmaiden" is one of those films where after you finish it you realize you've been watching shitty films your whole life. Most certainly a masterpiece, which make you rethink your entire existence and ask yourself how there are such a perfect piece of art can exist.
Park Chan-wook's direction is simply beautiful, delicate, femenist and autoritative and very much his own. There's so much passion and gusto in every frame and it is colorful in ways my words simply cannot describe and my mind doesn't dare to grasp.
I wish I could erase it immediately from my mind so I could experience it all over again. If you've already watched it. Let it settle. Then go again...There is so much to explore here.
