Olivia Cooke is the only woman ever.
Shot Caller is vastly underrated. As a cinematic experience. As a masterclass in tautness. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau turns in the best performance of his career. I would much rather be watching yoked out Prison Jaime (🤤) than the incessant frolicking that goes on between the Lannister siblings.
Sobbing, weeping, bawling. Kiki’s Delivery Service is the best Coming of Age story and it’s not even close. Aside from brilliantly illustrating the struggle of growing up, Miyazaki teaches us about ourselves and how to accept the profound loneliness that lurks beneath. Or maybe that’s just me.
“Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?”
“Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?”
“Donnie Darko? What the hell kind of name is that? It's like some sort of superhero or something.”
“What makes you think I’m not?”
Every screenwriter ever should just pack it up and shut it down because there’s no topping these scintillating lines of dialogue which encapsulate each individual moment at its core. The implications alone!! Something that can be so personal... I digress. Happy Halloween everyone! Stay safe!
