    Very strange film that borders on extreme vanity project and screechy chamber drama. Elizabeth Taylor is at the top of her form, queen bitch, and Richard Burton kind of stumbles and mumbles through his 'poetic' lines. Essentially they go back and forth without much real tension or eroticism. Would feel totally impenetrable if everything didn't look so insanely gaudy. Amazing set design, extravagant costumes(even a quick peak at a walk in kimono closet!), and incredible mountaintop vistas of Sardinia. Definitely…

    Incredibly fun Aussie new wave 80’s musical! Heartfelt even if it’s rather light on plot. Good thing the musical sequences are all quite good and lively. Joey Kennedy is a charming lead and the rest of the cast/characters are fun to watch.
