Kyle Armstrong’s review published on Letterboxd:
I obviously don't have the right to love this movie as much as others for so many reasons, but Blindspotting really just called my white transplant ass out and I don't think any movie has twisted my brain like this and forced me to think about how I occupy spaces that I am at best a guest in and at worst gentrifying even when I'm actively trying be aware where and how I spend my money in my neighborhood, and like, I can't sing enough praises for this movie.
It's been a long time since I've been this absorbed in a movie, and while I'm pissed the fuck off that I missed this in theaters, for once I'm ~happy~ with Jeff Bezos because he made me purchase a movie that I'm 99.9% sure is now in my top 10 of the 2010s. And it only cost $6, so I can watch this again and again, which is nice because this movie was made to be hyper-analyzed.
This is the new Do The Right Thing.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Speechless.
