    I kind of forgot how much I loved Billy Wilder til I watched this one again, there aren't many directors who are able to create such a perfectly finite balance between drama and comedy in their films as he could and Witness For the Prosecution is a prime example of exactly that skillset.

    A kind of post-coming of age drama, where young adults who felt as though they were doing something meaningful slowly come to the realization that the crushing vice of capitalism has come to ruin their dreams in the most mundane way possible.

    God what a good movie, a perfect ensemble cast at the top of their game thanks to the brilliant Joan Micklin Silver who, even if just for this film, should've been put up on the same mantle of great 70s directors like Altman or Bogdanovich.
