  • Bo Burnham: Inside

    Bo Burnham: Inside

I've liked Bo Burnham in everything I've seen him in, Promising Young Woman, Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous, or anything he created, Eighth Grade, but I wasn't super interested in this special. I didn't think it was "my thing."

My letterboxd friends constantly and consistently post about how great Inside is, so I decided to check it out.

Thank you to my Letterboxd friends who rated, raved, and consistently and constantly posted about this special.

    Thank you Bo Burnham.

Gordon: "What danger? I grew up on the ice; I know when it's safe to drive on."

Contrived Love Interest: "How do you know!?"

The Mighty Ducks is a film from a by-gone era.

I was into the film when it was, sort of, an adventure dramedy with Green and Meyers trying to sort out Green’s failing marriage and working out their troubled friendship. When they decided to introduce this otherworldly/supernatural/whatever the hell they were going for aspect with Randy Orton’s character I was completely taken out of the film. It made no sense and didn’t fit in with the rest of the (mostly) grounded film.

Side note: Was Macaulay Culkin really hammered and/or on drugs during filming?

See No Evil, Hear No Evil

See No Evil, Hear No Evil was the first R-Rated comedy I saw growing up and although I didn't realize at the time, it was a great influence on my love of comedies.

The impression that first viewing left on me lasts to this day. The forbidden cursing, the sexual inneundos, and Joan Severance 😁😁 fascinated 10 year old me. Not to mention this movie is also fucking hilarious!

Pryor and Wilder have such great chemistry and comedic timing. Two comedy heavyweights.
