The Thirteenth Floor

The Thirteenth Floor ★★★★

I had not seen this movie in over 15 years, so I was due for a re-watch. I definitely understood it a lot better this second time around. It's interesting that before Inception and before the ideas of simulation theory became popular, this movie from 1999 explored many of those very same ideas (ie. multi-layered realities, simulations within simulations, etc.). I'm surprised this movie doesn't get brought up more often. I really love it. And Gretchen Mol is a straight-up dimepiece in this movie. ;P
