“Never wake up a sleepwalker...they may snap their Neck.”
Wiser and smarter people have opined on why Sunset Boulevard is one of the greatest pieces of. American cinema. I truly have nothing to add.

Also, Joe Gillis in those swim trunks...I see what Norma saw!

The history behind this is truly horrendous but is essential to learn about. The film is a masterpiece, and it framed beautifully. Elem Klimov indulges his hobbesian beliefs of human nature and is unsparing in his depiction of the brutality of war, and how it corrupts, dehumanises, and inflicts suffering on everyone involved especially it’s survivors.

“Remember that we are dust, and to dust we shall return”

I enjoyed this and I oddly liked the philosophizing, the commentary on religion, faith, the meaning of life, dogmatism, Individualism, and the afterlife. Hamish Linklater also deserves the Golden Globe and all the Emmys. He was incredibly charismatic, beautiful, and intellectual. Truly an  A++ performance

We all know a Bev Keane, especially if you grew up religious. She’s truly despicable props to the Samantha Sloyan. Also unleashing terror/nosferatu  on a whole town for love??? That’s romantic tbh.

George Clooney gives off the performance of his career, and Tilda Swinton gives an even better performance as the girl boss that’s elevated to a glass cliff
