Patrick Delmore’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’ve seen ‘Attack the Block’ three times now and am still waiting for it to become the horror/sci-fi/action staple it was meant to be. The very existence of ‘Attack the Block’ should have guaranteed that ‘The Kid Who Would Be King’ was a successful film. Just having rewatched ‘Rise of the Planet Of the Apes’, and ‘Fox and the Hound’ it was a relief to see a movie where neighbors work together for a common goal instead of being horrible to one another. Maybe kindness is an English thing. If you haven’t seen this movie, you should. Joe Cornish is going places, and movies will be better because of him.
