Kern’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hated It's Only the End of the World, so I feared the worst. Surprisingly fine, though dull, for a stretch, but the plummet downward is swift after about the halfway point. Feels heavily influenced by Magnolia (scenes felt ripped straight from the Frank/reporter & Stanley/father plots), even down to the score being louder in the mix than normal to evoke a sense of claustrophobia. I'm mostly just surprised that anyone finds it emotionally resonant or narratively interesting, but more power to them. Those final few minutes are wretched, though.
