Suicide Squad got a lot of flack when it first came out and personally, I never saw why since that day in August 2016 when I first saw it in the cinema. Suicide Squad still remains one of my favourite superhero films. Well, supervillain films. It was something different that Marvel have never tried before and to see DC go all out, putting as much comedy into the characters that are very dark in the comics and making it look twice as cool. It seems that the bad guys are more entertaining than the superheroes. However, the one problem I had, like everyone else, was the lack of Jared Leto's Joker. Jared Leto did a really great job even though he had ten minutes in the Extended Cut. He deserves a shot in the upcoming solo Batman film as the villain to see whether he deserves the role of the Joker or not but personally, I think he'll do a great job. I've never understood why Suicide Squad is a bad movie because I think it's fun, full of music, comedic and full of action, making it a great and enjoyable film that is definitely a step-up for the DCEU.
