Suicide Squad has always been a guilty pleasure for me. Always has been and always will be. It’s a fun action/comedy superhero film that introduces its characters really well and sets up the Joker in a way in which I now found is really smart. Having him appear in cameos in this and Birds Of Prey is getting half the fans excited to see what he brings to the table when he gets a proper shot at his own full feature film. I like Jared Leto as the Joker. He’s very accurate to the comic books and he’s a majorly interesting character to invest some time into.
And my god Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is the perfect decision the DCEU has ever made. I’m very interested to see how she evolves in Birds Of Prey and fights back against the Joker. I can’t wait for Birds Of Prey and the second Suicide Squad film. The score actually stood out to me this watch as it’s a very fitting soundtrack to have to the characters and the film. Also the music! Fuck, the music is incredible! I love this soundtrack and I think it’s comparable to the soundtrack of Baby Driver and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. I love Suicide Squad and it’s a guilty pleasure that will never get old for me.
