I’m looking for a man.
An modern Hollywood classic. A criminally overlooked, majestically made orchestra of set pieces and overdone storytelling. It’s just a wonder to looks at, to hear, to experience. Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer are so great to watch in this, they eat the material up more than Verbinski eats the 2 and a half hour running time. It’s a behemoth movie, stacked with great actors, plot twists, locations, backstories, and so much more. The Lone Ranger straight up bangs, and I’ll never not love it. Old storytelling made new.
