I have been thinking about this movie nonstop! I love a lot about it. Specifically the reason for the kid being scared of his home on his birthday! Bong Joon-Ho is a wonderful director!

Loved any scene that took place on or around the staircase! The scene where Geun-sae recedes into the shadow reminds me of a scene in Throne of Blood by Kurosawa. Can’t stop thinking about this movie.

I love this movie for a lot of reasons. The biggest one has to be the fact that New York City feels ALIVE, and like another character in the script. The score by Bernard Herrmann blows my mind every single time. I also think scorsese does a great job in capturing how you can feel lonely when you’re surrounded by millions. Every-time I watch the movie it’s like watching it again for the first time, I love it!! As a New Yorker the movie means a lot to me, specifically because it shows a picture of New York before I was born that I find fascinating!

Learning anything new about Jean-Michel always makes me so sad. I watched this back in 2018 at IFC on west 4th and I’m glad I was able to rewatch on Hulu. I love this documentary because it focuses on a time of his life which doesn’t always get soo much attention (I’m an art history student and lessons always focused on his time with Andy). I wish he had a better opportunity to fight his addiction.
